My Mom
Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long upon the land which Jehovah your God gives you.
Let me tell you something that my brother will just not let me live down. Once when I was about 13 and a mouthy teenager, I was really mad at my mom (not that this was unusual) and I said “you just wait until I’m the mom and you’re the kid”
Dumbest thing I could ever say - I mean I knew that was never going to happen - never could happen. Well guess what…It happened!! In honor of My Mom - Frances Morgan
I am the 24/7 caregiver for my 85yr old mom who has Alzheimer’s disease. She is healthy as a horse physically, but mentally, well you know. She is so easily confused and very childlike. We spend about 95% of our time at home and usually only go out to church, grocery shopping and sometimes we go out to eat with my brother and his family because routines make it easier for those with Alzheimer's disease. And when you love someone - you do what you have to do.If you or someone you love has Alzheimer's disease or you need find some assistance in your area, check out the
Alzheimers Association
. They can help you cope with the disease and it's effects on family as well as the person with the disease. They are Great!
Father, Thank You for giving me the strength to be a fulltime caregiver. Please bless all those who are caregivers and also bless those who are cared for. In Jesus’ name. Amen
